Our Purpose and Goals

Pamper to Peace enhances our patients' quality of life through the use of sensory techniques which create a soothing environment in a manner that remains respectful of patient preferences. This sensory integration is directed by our clinical team and implemented by our hospice aides in addition to the personal care that they provide to our patients.

Sensory Program

The sensory techniques used in this program are adjunctive to the care that our hospice aides provide. They are intended to be another way to meet our patients' specific holistic needs and to celebrate their whole personhood. Pamper to Peace

Scope.

Pamper to Peace is designed to enhance patient comfort by focusing on individual preferences and sensory integration. Our services can include, but are not limited to, the following:

Music & Relaxation

  • Playing music, nature sounds, or meditation music based on the patient's preferences.
  • Use of warm blankets or comfort items that promote relaxation.

Aromatherapy & Massage

  • Use of lavender scents and/or body lotion with compassionate massage touch to hands, feet, and face.
  • Scented bath oils, salts, and body washes.
  • Scents associated with nostalgic products for patients.

Personal Care & Grooming

  • Washing and brushing the hair in a soothing way.
  • Applying favorite color of nail polish, makeup, or specific perfume.
  • Shave, hot towel, and a splash of cologne.
  • Other grooming needs that are important to the patient or caregiver.

Comfort & Sensory Touch

  • Applying warm compresses or soothing touch to hands, feet, or face.
  • Offering familiar textures or materials that provide sensory comfort.
